I got into running in 2017 and have found it to be such an amazing way of improving my physical and mental wellbeing.  I get a lot of pleasure from it, and have decided to use this to hopefully bring about a positive impact to others.

I have always worked either in, or close to, the frontline of Cancer therapy research.  My entire career has been working to help improve people's lives through development of novel therapies to treat cancer, or to support Pharmaceutical or BioTechnology companies develop such therapies.  This is very rewarding but it's important to remember that it's not. just about those that are lucky enough to get these treatments or who have positive outcomes from their cancer treatment.  All too often people suffer and find it difficult to get access to treatment or to get the results they hope for.  

Macmillan are there every step of the way for all, but in particular these people really benefit from their help.  If I can raise some money to help their work in some small way I will feel that I have done something to help support those people that my day-to-day work doesn't reach or fails to give the results desired.
