Running for Jensen.....

Jensen is the son of an old school friend of mine….for 2 1/2 years, 5 year old Jensen has been fighting cancer.

During this time he has been through some of the most gruelling treatments to try and rid this little superstar of this awful disease, all this time he has shown nothing but sheer determination and a smile on his face. Jensen is truly an inspiration. 

For a period of time, Jensen was cancer free and enjoying life but recently, his cancer has come back and the doctors have advised there is nothing more that can be done for him, all future care will be aimed at giving him more time, not at curing him.

With less than 8 weeks to the event and having only been offered a place this week, my training has been non existent to date. However, this isn't about hitting personal targets, I am participating in the London Marathon to honour the bravery, determination and sheer strength that Jensen and his family have shown during the past 2 1/2 years and to help raise funds to research into determining the causes of cancer, finding cures and providing care for children living with cancer.
