I enjoy running and walking and so the IOW challenge seemed like a natural fit for my interests; albeit somewhat more arduous than I'm used to. But, as a challenge it is very attractive to me and I know it will be a tough, but hugely satisfying experience. Also, it gives me an opportunity to raise money for an important cause, and to support the fight against animal cruelly and abuse and, ultimately, an organisation (Viva!) that is fighting to protect the fragile environment we live in. I have been training hard since last autumn and with 2 days ago feel confident, but of course a bit nervous - 106km is a long way! :-) :-)
