Story
This page is dedicated to the memory of Nicholas John Quick, known to us all as Nick.
He has left us to be at peace in Heaven with his beloved Grandfather Fred Quick. Nick's ashes will be buried next to Fred's in St. Mary's Church, Langley, Berks. When Fred died a piece of Nick went with him.
Nick was a loving Father to his two beautiful daughters Ellie and Scarlett. Both girls are being so brave. They miss their Daddy deeply.
Nick was a great brother. He made us laugh so much. His magic box, which he used to get out regularly, will be missed too.
Nick was a wonderful son. This fundraising page is for his beautiful Mum June who he saw just a few weeks ago. June has Alzheimer's disease. Nick found it incredibly hard to deal with this fact.
Nick will be remembered by those who knew him well as a very loveable, funny, handsome and most charming man. He was blessed with a unique and wonderful humour. His charm and looks won over all the ladies who met him. Nick also known as "The Big Guy" had a big soppy heart. Many found it strange that his house was always full of rabbits. He loved rabbits from a little boy, as he did all animals. When he used to run away from home (regular event) he would always take Dooby his rabbit with him, tucked into his jacket. He would even take him on other trips to the shops etc. His last rabbit was Sicknote which the vet advised needed putting down. Nick took Sicknote home and put a splint on his leg and cared for him like a baby. Sicknote misses Nick too.
Nick was a good friend to many. He asked after all his friends and family members towards the end.
Nick’s partner Paula cared for him whilst he was ill. She couldn’t have done more for him. Paula was his Angel and still is. She is an incredible woman with a heart of gold. She is clearly devastated from losing Nick.
Nick wouldn’t have wanted tears at his funeral. He would have wanted a party to celebrate his life. No flowers please but if you wish you can donate to his chosen charity is the Alhzeimers Society.
Nick's funeral is on Friday, 16th December, at 3.30 p.m at Woking Crematorium then afterward at The Bridge Barn, Woking. All who loved Nick are most welcome to attend.
