Scope White Peaks Ski Marathon: Italy 2010 · 4 March 2010 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 4 March 2010, James Britton and I will be attempting the White Peaks Ski Marathon in the Milky Way ski region, . This will involve skiing 24 peaks in just 48 hours - that's over 130km! Now in its 12th year, the White Peaks Ski Marathon has helped raise over £1.75 million for Scope, and with your help, we'd like to add to that total.
Scope is the 's leading disability charity working with children and adults with cerebral palsy. Scope's aim is for disabled people to have the opportunities to fulfil their life ambitions and achieve equality in everyday life. They offer a wide range of services not only to people with cerebral palsy, but also their families and carers, all of which are aimed at enabling disabled people to live as independently as possible. Examples of such services include Skills Development Centres which provide training and support to those looking to enter into employment, and independent schools as well as mainstream education support.
It is estimated however that at present, Scope are only able to reach one in four people who would benefit greatly from their services, hence why more needs to be done.
So, please consider donating to this worthy cause - any donations, no matter how small, will be much appreciated. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks very much,
Nick
