As you may be aware ABF The Soldiers Charity was formed in 1944 as the Army Benevolent Fund and since then has provided life time support to serving and retired soldiers and their families. Over the last two years there has been a rise of 30% in applications from soldiers who require financial assistance. Many of these have been as a result of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Given this it is projected that the current £7 million raised each year will need to increase to £15 million by 2015.

It is our wish to assist in a small way towards meeting this challenge. Therefore it is our pledged undertaking to raise a minimum of £1600 each for the charity. But of course our ambition would be to exceed this by as much as possible.
