Scleroderma is an autoimmune disorder that causes the immune system to be overactive and attack itself causing hardening and scarring of tissues.

There is currently no cure for an illness that affects 2.5 million people worldwide with only 19,000 people diagnosed in the UK. Unfortunately, those diagnosed with an advanced and systemic version of the disease have a prognosis of anywhere from 3 to 15 years due to the fact doctors have great difficulty diagnosing it early enough.

We will be completing the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money and more importantly awareness for SRUK to hopefully help contribute towards research to one day find a cure for an awful disease that takes away a life of normality. 

We would be grateful for any contributions that you wish to make to help further SRUK's research and prevent this disease from ruining another person's life.
