Story
Thank you for visiting this page.
Jill died at home on Monday 19th April 2021 as the result of an inoperable recurrence of her Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma. All through the past year, and right up to the end, she remained her kind, thoughtful, good hearted and pragmatic self. When discussing her funeral arrangements she insisted there should be no flowers, with contributions instead going to Sarcoma UK.
Jill enjoyed the time since her major surgery in 2015 and set about raising sponsorship money for this same charity in 2016 by participating in the 'Prudential 100' ride in London. She just wanted to express gratitude for getting some life back.
In her own words from 2016: " Sarcomas are a relatively rare type of cancer that can affect anyone regardless of age and general health. Sarcoma UK is a small charity which relies entirely on voluntary donations to provide support and information as well as to fund research....I hope you will support me in my bid to raise money for this good cause"
I'm so grateful for the 27 years I've spent with Jill and that she agreed to marry me last year! A lovely person who died too soon.
Thank you.
