Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·

Skin Cancer is one of the most common cancers and numbers are increasing rapidly. Most forms of skin cancer are not life threatening but the most serious form malignant melanoma can be deadly. This charity funds research into the causes, prevention and treatment of skin cancer.

Story

I'm running the 2014 London Marathon for the Skin Cancer Research Fund, and in memory of my late father Gerald Manners. S.C.a.R.F. conduct expert research into malignant melanoma, a particularly nasty form of cancer which sadly accounted for my father in 2009 and their work has, and will, save hundreds of lives.

I'll be stumbling round the 26.2 miles in his memory but also for all the other families out there who have suffered at the hands of this debiliating disease.
