Established in 2004, Alex TLC is the only charity in the UK that provides invaluable support and information for anyone with a leukodystrophy, their families, and carers. Leukodystrophies are rare genetic disorders that mainly affect the white matter of the central nervous system (ie the brain or spinal cord). They affect people of all ages and backgrounds, most notably children. Your support makes our work possible.

Here is our story...AlexTLC gave my family the support they needed, during 22 years of battling with adrenoleukodystrophy. My brother-in-law Jason, sadly died in 2022 succumbing to the disease. His independence being the hardest thing for him to lose. I want to support the charity, to help and support others through their battle with leukodystrophy. Hopefully one day, a cure will be found.
