We help people living with sight loss and other disabilities to achieve their ambitions and go beyond expectations. We believe wherever they are, everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support enables people and their families to build skills and develop confidence.

Story

I have been working at Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre for about four years and during that time I have met the amazing people who work there and the fantastic people they support.  No day is the same at the centre and I have a huge amount of respect for what they do!

When I was asked whether I wanted to trek to the base camp of Everest this November I instantly knew I wanted to do it to raise funds for Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre.

In July I dressed up as a Yeti to be the mascot for Skoda during the Tour De France celebrations in July (on two very hot days!!) and they donated my fee to Henshaws.

From Friday 7th November I will be starting my 18 day trek to the base camp of Everest, any support you can give me and in turn Henshaws would be gratefully received!

Thank you for visiting and donating!
