We support young people at risk of suicide to stay safe and find hope in times of need

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you might already know, I will be taking to the streets of London to run the Marathon on 22nd April 2012

I have chosen to raise money for PAPYRUS UK, a charity that is based in the UK, dedicated to the prevention of suicide amongst young people.

To give a quick summary of what they do:

  • Reduce Stigma associated with suicide and mental health issues

  • Increase Awareness of young suicide and how to help prevent it

  • Provide services (e.g. HOPELineUK / ASIST Training)

  • Campaign as a UK-wide membership organisation to prevent young suicide

  • Listen and Learn - supporting and disseminating research and knowledge

  • Contribute to local, regional and national suicide prevention strategic action

It really is a fantastic charity and I would really appreciate your donations and support in raising awareness!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
