When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. 9 weeks ago my dad suffered a severe stroke at the age of 80. Whilst he has battled, and survived, a number of health issues over the years, this is his biggest fight yet. And so far, he is winning the battle!

But we need your help to raise funds for more vital research and specialist facilities to help stroke survivors. Stroke is the UK’s fourth biggest killer, yet funding for stroke research is 1/5 of what is spent on cancer research.
