Story
As you may know, I've been taking my running seriously since 2010. It started out as an excuse for my buddy James Tothill and I to not attend Karate lessons whilst our boys slogged on with their training in the village hall. We decided to give ourselves a target and ran the Plymouth Half Marathon in 2011. Since then I have gone on to run ten Halfs, two ridiculously hilly ten milers at Looe, fourteen 10k's and one 5 miler.
I've tried to get into the London Marathon a few times but with no success as its so oversubscribed. So, when I heard that my old partner in crime Graham Townsley was going to run his first in Chester this October I figured I could gate crash his gig and give myself a kick up the @^$* to finally run a marathon.
I would like to dedicate my run to Mum, who we lost last year to cancer. She was always game to try things out and I know would fully support me in my challenge. Therefore, I would like to raise funds for Cancer Research UK in her memory and would be very grateful for any donations received.
