SameYou's goal is to improve recovery for young adults after brain injury and stroke.

Story

Hi there, I'm Nick!

suffered from a "really good" bang on my head over 7 years ago now and as a result of that accident, I had to spent 2 years in pretty much all of the hospitals within London.

I was then moved back up to the North and I then spent a few more years at a recovery centre based in Stockport, to make sure that I was as repaired as I could be before I left the rehabilitation pathway.

I'm now going to start to do some fundraising for SameYou, with a hope to help support the future of brain injury rehabilitation for everyone in the UK.

I think that it'd be great if you could help me to get there!

Q = But what will you be doing Nick?

A = Well! I am planning to use my race chair to beast my way around the Blenheim 4M race in October, a couple of days before my 34th birthday...

Thank you in advance for all of your support, as I couldn't do it without the kindness of friends and family like you!

I've just realised that I actually did this fundraising for Headway a year or so ago, and many thanks to all who donated to it!

This year I will actually do the race!

My Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) was caused by an injury to my brain, and it's also referred to as an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). 1 in 3 people will have an ABI at some point in their lives but this is hardly ever talked about and survivors often face stigma. SameYou want to change this, and are working to break the silence around brain injury and help give people the best possible chance of recovery after leaving hospital.

Any donation would help and would be really appreciated by myself and the whole of the SameYou team!

Thanks,

Nick
