Story
Having turned 40 this year and feeling in need of a new challenge to prove that I am still full of youthful vigour, I thought I'd do something I've never done before: run a half marathon. To make all that jogging up and down what passes for hills in and around Wymondham a little more worthwhile, I thought I'd try and raise some money at the same time.
The charity I am running for is called Eating Matters (Norfolk Eating Disorders Association) where my wife, Julie, works as a psychotherapist.
Eating Matters does invaluable work supporting women and men, young and old, who are dealing with a range of serious and often debilitating eating disorders. It is the only charity in Norfolk that provides specialist frontline and ongoing counselling and I'm not exaggerating when I say that the work Julie and her colleagues do genuinely changes people's lives for the better.
It would mean a huge amount to me to have your support for my 13 miles. Whatever you can spare will be very gratefully received and will be put to great use.
