Story

Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies and children. We fight for answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children face.

My younger brother Ben was diagnosed with mild forms of cerebral palsy, dyslexia and dyspraxia when he was young. Although he only suffers form mild forms, the fight to get him help at school, figure out how he can deal with the real world in a few years, and understand his conditions and the way he may act has been an ongoing, and at times incredibly stressful fight. The conditions may have contributed to making him the fantastic, confident, outgoing young man he is becoming but not all parents and families are this lucky.

There are far more serious cases of cerebral palsy across the world - some rendered wheelchair bound, unable to walk or speak. It is a condition that can occur in the womb, during birth, or very soon after and Action are searching for answers.

I would like to raise money for this fantastic charity to help them do that and continue the incredible work they do for children and their families.
