I am fundraising for outdoor learning at Malorees School, an underfunded community primary school in Brent, NW London.  

Last year that was focused on building Rogers Garden - a new outdoor learning space dedicated to the memory of Roger Hulme.  I'm pleased to say that work is going well (see pics below) - we already built the outdoor classroom, a natural fence around which is planted with trees from the Woodland Trust.  We built four raised beds which are already planted with herbs and sweet peas, with more to come!    Big thanks to everyone who helped, especially Mike Cleary! 

We have also started training school staff in forest school skills.  So far Charlotte (Juniors) and Alice (Infants) have been trained, but we want to train more staff on a yearly basis.   Mr Rentall has committed to all classes having access to Forest School, which has already begun with Reception, with Y6 to follow.    Exciting stuff!

So to those who sponsored me last year - THANK YOU - you have helped build all this!

For those that can sponsor me now -  please do...we are just getting started!   We want to train more staff as forest school leaders, we want to build an outdoor kitchen (with pizza oven), install outdoor washbasins and build storage for the forest school equipment. Etc etc.  There's a lot to do!
