I’m going to Run, jog, walk or crawl my way along the Ridgeway - Britain's oldest path. I’m taking part in one of the UK's biggest long distance treks or runs to the historic Avebury Stone Circle. The Ridgeway offers something very special. Lined with Bronze Age hill forts, Neolithic burial chambers and Roman river crossings, you will step in the same footsteps as travellers who lived over 5,000 years ago. All you need to decide is whether to take it on without stopping or go for the two day weekend option.After the coronavirus pandemic postponed this event, now is the time to get back on those paths and get training for the journey of a lifetime. This event is steeped in history and offers you the chance to see our countryside at it's best, from the famous field of dreams and white horses to an amazing sunset and sunrise as you make your way towards Avebury.
