We are raising money  for the Myeloma UK charity in memory of  a very special lady, Lesley Eggleston,  who  very sadly passed away on  the 23^rd June 2021 after her incredibly brave journey living with Myeloma . Lesley found the charity hugely supportive and so we  hope you will find some comfort in her  loss by raising money for such a great cause.

 

Lesley was a nurse for over 45 years and whilst she predominantly worked within the NHS she also had the opportunity to work across the world, this meant her unique approach to work and life in general was something so many  people got to experience  and undoubtedly benefitted from in many different ways . Anyone who  knew Lesley  would have felt the impact of her kind and caring nature, her true professionalism and her dedication to patient care . For many Lesley was more  than just a nurse, she was a truly inspirational leader,  providing support , guidance , mentorship and more importantly  compassion and  friendship in her  own inimitable  way.  She undoubtedly leaves behind her  a legacy  of professionals  and friends whose lives  have been enriched due to her  knowledge , talents, support, kindness and guidance .

Lesley was simply a  ‘Proper Matron ‘ and for that we all loved her very much
