Story

BOSS:   Excellent, first rate.... to exercise control or authority over’...‘the hub of a propeller’ (Merriam Webster Dictionary)

Established by Marcellus Baz (CEO of Switch UP Nottingham) and Nick Owen (CEO of The Mighty Creatives), the BBR provide informal opportunities for CEOs, founders and senior managers of any business (family to micro to small to corporate) to meet, network, socialise and become a peer support network – all through the medium of shared bike rides!

The rides provide opportunities for participants (BB Riders) to generate funds which will support the Creative Mentoring programme that The Mighty Creatives are providing across the Midlands.

The tried and tested Creative Mentoring model (pioneered by Derbyshire Virtual School) has been developed in partnership for children and young people in the care system who are at greatest risk of not being in education, employment or training.

Children and young people referred to the service will access up to 24 hours of personal development, mentoring and skills-based provision focused on reducing exclusions, increasing attendance and improving educational attainment.

To become a BB Rider, you'll agree to organise or participate in a group bike ride (ie more than 2 people) anywhere in the world.  You can ride together or independently, as long as you find ways of keeping in touch during your ride.

A BB Ride will typically involve highlighting the natural highlights of where you're riding, provide moments of shared learning from each other’s experiences and insights, and the chance to share food and drink en route.

All we ask is that you ride together, you're willing to share your experiences of 'boss-ness' and that you keep us informed of your progress so that we can tell the world how we're doing collectively.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
