Nick Broady is raising money for Pied Piper Appeal

72 holes for 30 years of Pied Piper · 19 June 2022

The Pied Piper Appeal raises money to make a difference to sick and disabled children in Gloucestershire by funding the Children's Centre at GRH, supporting SEND schools, sending children and their families on Wish Holidays and improving experiences with mental health facilities.

Story

The Pied Piper Appeal was founded in 1992 by local hairdresser Peter Hickman and £4 million was pledged to build a new Children's Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The money was quickly raised with the centre opening in 2004. This year in 2022 we are celebrating 30 years of the beginning of the Charity. We support the 12 Special Schools in Gloucestershire, mental health facilities and send children and their families on Wish Holidays. The big projects this year are funding a new facility for disabled children to have 'short breaks' in Tuffley, Gloucester, costing £150k and financially supporting a project to move 6 rooms on the paediatric oncology ward, the Emily Kent Unit to gain an extra cubicle costing £100k
