The TM Society provides information and support to over 2000 people living with Transverse Myelitis, their families and carers in the UK, and those with other rare auto-immune neurological conditions, ADEM and NMO (Devic's disease). It's affiliated with the worldwide Transverse Myelitis Association.

Story

One morning in February this year, 7 year old Kitty suddenly collapsed at school, and could not get up again. She was rushed to hospital and went into intensive care for a couple of weeks. It was touch and go for a while as her vital organs then started to fail, thankfully she pulled though, but has been left paralysed from the waist down by a rare disease called Acute Transverse Myelitis.

Friends Nicky, Barbara and Sophie are running a 10k race on October 16th to raise money for Kitty's rehabilitation and to help fund research into a cure for this disease.

Having never even run for a bus before, this is a BIG ASK for these ladies. Training has been hampered by the most pathetic of excuses, but now Race Day is looming and we need some motivation to get out of Barbara's kitchen drinking coffee and get those running shoes on.

Please, please sponsor us. We've been so touched by what has happened to Kitty and her family and we need you to help us help Kitty.

Thank you xxx
