I have worked alongside people with Dementia for the past 2 years and have seen first hand the destruction this disease causes to families.  Little by little mothers and fathers, friends and relations slip away until eventually they no longer remember those who they once held most dear. It is such a cruel disease - and so distressing for everyone involved.  Dementia doesnt care how old you are, how intelligent or how wealthy...It doesnt discriminate..  Continued research is vital to try to overcome this disease and stop it from distroying families all over the world.
