Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I may be asking for donations to reach my fundraising target but please do not feel obliged to. Even sharing the link and telling friends and family about the work Parkinsons UK do would be greatly appreciated.
I ran the Great North Run 7 years ago and vowed never again....until now! I must be crazy at my age but I am now running the Cheltenham Half Marathon in support of Parkinsons UK on 4 September 2022.
As many of you will now, this is a cause close to my heart and know how vitally important fundraising is, to enable continued research into treatments and the fight to find a cure. I can only imagine how tough it is for those who are affected by this disease. It affects each person differently but can be tough when even getting around on a daily basis is a struggle. I wanted to do something to help and so this is my small contribution, to show my support and contribute directly to a charity that supports those who are suffering.
Parkinsons is not just "an old peoples" disease and more people are being diagnosed, with no cure at the moment. It's sufferers are wholly reliant on the amazing work carried out by Parkinsons UK, whether that is funding and developing life changing treatments or supporting those diagnosed with Parkinsons and their friends and family.
Thank you for reading my post, now for the hard bit on 4 September!
