Story
I am Matron for Children and Young people Acute Services at Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (covering children's outpatients, daycase, Paediatric Assessment Unit and the Children's ward including HDU). I want to raise money for the Children's Appeal. I have the honour every day in experiencing the difference in which the Charity makes to children and families. It helps us as nurses go the extra mile and supports us to do the 'nice things' and directly positively impacts the care of the children and families.
On 27th August I will do a skydive for this amazing charity. I'm a nervous flyer at the best of times so this will really challenge (terrify) me.
I am are raising money for the Children's Appeal which is aiming to raise £1million to create a bright, friendly and appealing environment for all children visiting our hospital as both in patients and out patients at both Royal Preston and Chorley District General Hospitals as well as in community services such as Broadoaks child development centre.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. If you have read this and thought I want to give money the children, families, staff and myself would be so grateful. Or please get involved. You could volunteer to be the one to push me out the plane......
