As I turn 40 this year, I've decided to mark it by taking part in a number of races before "retiring" from long races.

In April I am signed up to take part in an ultramarathon in the Lake District followed by the UTS ultramarathon in Snowdonia in May before the Sydney Marathon in August and finally, (if I make it this far) the Chicago marathon in October!

I will be raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity - a leading UK specialist paediatric centre, offering expert care to more than 90,000 children and young people from across the country every year.
