Alice House Hospice was founded in 1980 by local mum of four, Alice Bendle. Following a routine hospital operation doctors told her that she might die. The experience left her passionate about making sure that anybody facing a life-limiting illness would never be alone or in pain again. Her hard work and determination, and that of those involved over the past four decades, means that today we have access to hospice care 365 days a year.
