Event: London Marathon 2023, on 23 April 2023
Our amazing team of London Marathon runners will be working together to raise £60,000 to fund research into how diet, weight and physical activity affect your risk of developing and surviving cancer.

Story

I will be running the London Marathon on the 23rd April to fulfil a lifelong personal ambition. Having entered the ballot for a number of years and never been successful, I set myself the aim of completing the event before I turn 40.

Although I will be a few weeks late in fulfilling my ambition as I turn 40 in March, it has nevertheless made me even more determined to do it whilst supporting an amazing charity.

I am sure we can all think of at least one person who has battled cancer. Please help me in supporting this brilliant charity whilst also encouraging me through the race on the day!

Thank you very much for your support.

Every day in the UK 1,100 people will hear the words ‘you have cancer’, but 40% of cancer cases are preventable. While society continues searching for a cure, we are investing millions into our prevention & survival work, helping people live healthier, free from the devastating effects of cancer.
