Story

Paul, my husband, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in April 2016 aged 39. He never let the disease beat him in mind or body and fought so hard.

From June 2017 Paul, myself and our 2 children, Alfie (aged 13) and Lily (aged 10) were supported by a daily visit from hospice at home.

Until he was diagnosed with MND, Paul had no health issues or concerns at all. He was a very fit, active young man. Part of his job involved fell walking and inspecting the countryside and Lake District national park. He loved this part of his job and so that's why Alfie, Lily and I are taking part in this challenge.

Paul died in December 2017. He was so grateful to the girls from hospice at home for their help - but mainly for their great sense of humour and willingness to take his endless banter and cheekiness in good humour.
