Story

Last year we took part in the Wildlife Wander and this year we’re going to Walk the Ullswater Way. We’ll again be walking 10 miles to raise money for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland.

Paul, my husband and father to Alfie and Lily, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in April 2016 aged 39. From June 2017, Paul, Alfie, Lily and I were supported by daily visits from Hospice at Home.

Paul died in December 2017. He was so grateful to the girls from Hospice at Home for their help - but mainly for their great sense of humour and willingness to take his endless banter and cheekiness in good humour.

Hospice at Home’s help meant we, as a young family, could carry on living a ‘normal’ family life for as long as possible. Please help us to help them support other families in need.
