Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It's been 21 years since I gave birth to our cherished first born son Jack. Unbeknownst to anyone, he was born with a serious heart condition known as 'Tetralogy of Fallots' and became seriously unwell at home when he was 3 months old. Jack was fighting for his tiny life. He endured immediate and complex heart surgery at the Glenfield hospital in Leicester which saved his life. Jack responded incredibly well to this initial life saving surgery and seemed to be making good progress but devastatingly lost his precious life on 12th August 2001 at the very young age of just 7 months old. Our lives changes forever that day and there's not a day that goes by that we don't miss him and wish he was still here with us.

The past 20 years have seen us organise a number of charity events to fundraise in his memory for a few different charities that are close to our hearts.  My hope this year is to celebrate his life in what should have been his 21st year by raising funds for the British Heart Foundation who fund research related to heart and circulatory disease and their risk factors.

I'm also hosting an end of year medieval banquet themed charity fundraising celebration event at Warwick castle too so please do come along if you can and join us as we party like it's 1499. You can find more detailed info about the event on my team fundraising page.

Thank you for supporting me in my hope to raise much needed funds for the British Heart Foundation which means so very much to me and my family.
