2 days before Christmas, Jack (9), his siblings Rhys (6) and Aled (2) and cousins Kayden (11) and Morgan (8) sadly lost their beloved Dado (grandfather), Martin.
Anyone who knew Martin knew how much he loved his Grandsons. He often joked that he’ll soon be able to start a rugby team with all his boys and even had a tattoo on his leg with all their names on. They all loved him just as much and were left devastated at the sudden loss.
In Martins memory, Jack has decided he wants to raise money for a charity Martin was passionate about - Help for Heroes. This is a charity that was close to Martin’s heart. He regularly donated and fundraised for them and was passionate about the importance of Help for Heroes supporting veterans and their families.
To help raise some much needed funds for Help for Heroes, Jack has set himself a challenge of walking 100miles throughout June - a tough task for any 9year old but especially for one that complains about walking 10 mins to school. Martin loved walking, he walked miles everyday with his dog Alfie and Jack often enjoyed joining him on some of the walks (Although Martin did cut the walks a bit shorter when Jack was with him) so Jack thinks this is the perfect challenge for him. Jacks cousins, younger brothers and of course Martins dog Alfie will also be joining him on some of the walks to help him along
If you would like to help support Jack on his challenge by donating, leaving a message of encouragement or sharing this page, it would mean so much to him and would be very much appreciated
Thank you
