Last month my Auntie, Pauline Scarr, sadly passed away following a long and brave battle with ovarian cancer. 

Words will never be able to express what Pauline meant to us as a family and what an amazing person she was. She was the kindest and most selfless person, always looking to help others and so caring. It seems fitting to honour her by raising money for a good cause when she spent her life helping others. 

She spent her last days at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where the care she received was beyond excellent. From the start of her admission in the Emergency Department through to the time she spent on Chelsea Wing my Auntie was given high quality care from teams I am very fortunate to call my colleagues. 

I want to say a big thank you to all of the staff involved in her care, the Nurses and the Healthcare Assistants on Chelsea Wing and in the ED,  the Surgical team led by Mr Celentano, the Urology team led by Mr Attar, the Palliative Care team led by Dr Cox, as well as all of the support services who impacted on her care. 

CW+ is the official charity of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and their fundraising supports and enables staff across the Organisation to continue to strive for excellence in the care they deliver. This fundraising will continue to support them to support our staff which in turn allows the delivery of high quality care for our patients.
