Some people may know that my grandad is really ill with cancer at the moment and it is hard on us as a family. I did the Race For Life last July and during that time he was being diagnosed - which I didn't know about and it was a big shock to us all.

After being misdiagnosed I want to raise as much money as possible so more research can be done in treating and also diagnosing cancer.

I haven't done much fundraising at the moment, as we have just lost an amazing woman to cancer. Claire was a fantastic friend to so many, an amazing wife and incredible mother. As well as doing this for my grandad, I am also doing this in memory of Claire who lost her fight on 21/05/14 aged just 34 :( .

Cancer touches everyone and I want to celebrate the lives of those that we have lost and also celebrate the determination and strength of those that are fighting. 

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore.
