Our charity transforms lives, providing support to special needs children attending Ysgol Y Deri the UK’s largest special needs school featured on BBC One Wales Series ‘A Special School’. Our biggest aim is to sit at the heart of our Special School, raising much needed funds to make a difference.

Story

Dear Friend/ colleague,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 17th July this year myself and 16 colleagues from Ashgrove Special School for kids with Autism will attempt to climb a staggering 5895m up Mount Kilimanjaro!!

Our aim......... Is to raise £40,000 for much needed specialised sensory play equipment to provide..........

THE ULTIMATE SENSORY PLAY AREA for the 120 young people with severe autism at Ashgrove School, Cardiff.

This challenge will not only provide vital equipment and opportunities for these children but we hope to raise Autism Awareness across South Wales and ensure that these children go on to live in a community where their difficulties are understood and accepted.

Autism is a lifelong condition of almost permanant stress. Understanding what people say, think and do while your body gives you strange messages about what you hear see and feel creates anxiety and makes everyday life a struggle.

Please help to make the Ultimate Sensory Play Area a reality by kindly sponsoring me in this challenge. I would be so grateful of your support which would mean soo much to the children at Ashgrove School.

Thankyou for your support.

Nicola x
