My grandma suffered with Alzheimer's disease for a number of years.  It was heartbreaking to watch someone you love slowly disappear.  Finding the help and support needed as a family was difficult but, it is out there.

Dementia UK is the only specialist dementia nurse charity. Their Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. 

By 2025 it's estimated that over 1 million ppl in the UK will have a diagnosis of dementia.  Almost all of us will know someone with the condition.

This support is needed more than ever, so my friend Karen and I, are taking part in the London Winter Walk on 28th January.  This means walking 26.2 miles to raise money for this worthy cause.

Every penny raised through our fundraising will help provide a lifeline to those who need it.  Any donations, no matter how big or small would be gratefully received.
