Story
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page,
On the 24th of March of this year, I will be running the London Half Marathon. I thought it would be more meaningful to run for an important cause. This is why I am running for the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), to raise awareness and donations for their global mission.
For those who do not know, Voluntary Service Overseas is an international development charitable organisation charity with a vision for a "world without poverty" and a mission to "bring people together to fight poverty and marginalisation". VSO delivers development impact through international, national, and community volunteers. VSO is currently operating across 24 developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
- VSO Builds Programmes that help people in poverty live in dignity and security, with better skills, income and fairer access to markets. in 2018, VSO worked to improve access to food and income for 115,000 people.
- VSO builds programmes that support educators, governments and communities to improve access to better quality learning. In 2018, VSO supported 325,000 children and adults.
- VSO's projects and volunteers help health workers, governments and communities improve access to quality health services. Last year we supported 900,000 people access better healthcare.
My aim is to raise at least £500, all of which will go towards improving the livelihood, health and education of communities in need.
If you want to play your part in reducing global inequality and bring us closer to living in a fairer world, please donate what you can via my page and help us achieve this goal.
Thank you,
Nicolas
