I've decided to do a tonne of running and various other fundraising activities over the next 12 months to raise money for the PBC foundation. I'm going to be completing a half marathon every month for a year, culminating next April with The London Marathon (HELP)! 

The PBC foundation is the only organisation in the UK that is solely dedicated to supporting those with and affected by primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). PBC is a long-term autoimmune condition that has no definitive known cause or cure. 

I've chosen to run for this charity as in August 2016 my nan, Joan, was diagnosed with PBC and unfortunately passed away unexpectedly a few weeks later. Our family was turned upside down after this and my mum and I both turned to the PBC foundation for information during this difficult time.  

Money donated to the PBC foundation aids in providing up-to-date information for sufferers along with support for those affected. Support is provided for medical practitioners in raising awareness of the condition as it can be complex to diagnose. Donations also go towards work with other bodies in conducting research into PBC to find a cause and cure.
