Welcome to my fundraising page in support of Catholic Charities Atlanta.
Several years ago I found myself questioning my lifelong beliefs. Instead of becoming defensive, I decided to seek answers and find new ways to grow in my faith. I took Catholicism 101 (yes, it's a thing), participated in various bible studies, and discussed my journey with trusted faith leaders. As I began to better understand my faith, I felt compelled to share it. I took more bible studies, attended and helped lead retreats, became an adoration guardian, was an RCIA mentor, and even surprised myself by giving my testimony from the pulpit.
Which brings me to 2021. While learning, sharing, and reflecting, I heard God calling me to do more. To serve Him more. This discernment brought me to the Catholic Charities Leadership Class.
Why Catholic Charities? I love being part of an organization that doesn't turn anyone away, regardless of religion, beliefs, age, or culture. I was very impressed when I learned that 100% of refugees who go through Catholic Charities are self-sufficient within 6 months. That is incredible! And their services don't stop there - they also provide outreach for veterans, immigration legal services, parenting classes, adult education and training, and so much more. They don’t give handouts. They collaborate, coordinate, and cooperate with all in need.
I prayerfully set a personal goal to raise at least $3,000 for this profoundly worthy cause. Will you join me in financially supporting Catholic Charities Atlanta? Thank you for your consideration as I continue to deepen my faith and further serve the Lord.
