For people that don't know me I am the deputy manger for the Cornwall branch. Here is a little bit about us and why your support is so important .
RSPCA Cornwall runs the Venton Centre, from where, at a cost of over £800,000/year. Our branch in Cornwall isn't funded by the RSPCA and we are the only RSPCA centre in the whole of Cornwall. Last year 602 animals were rehomed or released thanks to our dedicated team. On average each animal cost us £1100 with the cost of food, veterinary treatment and care. We take abandoned, abused or unwanted animals, many via RSPCA Inspectors due to cruelty or neglect, needing extensive treatment. We are funded entirely by generosity of supporters.
What is a Wing walk?
I will be strapped to a top of a plane which will fly to a maximum. of 700ft and a minimum of 100ft on waving-runs. (Please click on the top photo to view a photos of what a wing walk is) The aeroplane will fly at between 80mph up to 130mph. The flight will last approximately 10 minutes and will do low low dives and sharp turns.
A little bit about me and why this is going to be so much of a challenge for me. I am afraid of heights and have lost a lot of my confidence with anything to do with heights over the years. Or maybe I have just got wise to the possible injuries you can sustain. These days doing on an aerial assault course is a no. But what better way to challenge myself and face my fear then being strapped on top of a plane! So please support me and any money is greatly received. I am planning on doing a few clothes swap events , so please look out for these.
