Stokenchurch dog rescue was originally formed by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray and unwanted dogs. We never destroy a healthy dog, believing that somewhere there is a kind and permanent home for every dog. We also take in and care for the sick, the old and the traumatised.

Story

As many of you know I lost my little dude Harry on the 13th November this year, shortly after his 15th birthday. When I say "I", what I really mean is "We", because he was taken care of and loved by so many. And spoiled rotten! A very lucky little man.

He became quite the little celebrity in the Marlow Santa Fun Run over the years (please see gallery). First year running (slowly), next few years walking (slower), then in a papoose with Mom and Auntie Nichola year before last, and his finest moment coming last year with his GodMum Ruthie in his "hot wheels" - aka buggy. We will miss him this year.

A group of us will be doing the virtual Santa Run this year to raise money for Stokenchurch Dog Rescue on Harry's behalf. The choice of this charity is because we want all dogs to be loved as much as Harry and we know this organisation will go above and beyond to make this happen.

This has been a very tough year for so many people. So please feel no pressure. I just wanted to let you know what we are doing and the comments and love are as important as any donation.

Love Nic, xoxo
