Having suffered breast cancer on two separate occasions, I consider myself very fortunate to be here, living a full and active life. As all those who have suffered from cancer will know (and that includes the patients, their family and friends), support networks are critically important when we are trying to cope with the challenges that cancer throws our way. Cancer charities and volunteer groups often play a very important role in this regard, and one charity I am particularly drawn to is Macmillan, for the physical, financial and emotional support that they provide. It is for this reason that they will be my chosen charity, as I seek to raise funds, by undertaking a skydive!
I appreciate that many of you already give to charity, and I fully understand if you have already maxed out your charitable donations. However, if you do have a little to spare, I would be very grateful if you would sponsor me, for what will be my first (and I suspect last!) time jumping from a plane!
