I work for Home-Start Falkirk as a Group Support Worker, and every day I see first-hand the incredible difference this charity makes in people’s lives. Many of the parents we support are dealing with isolation, mental health struggles, financial pressure, or simply the overwhelming reality of raising young children without a strong support network.

Through our groups, home-visiting volunteers, and family support services, Home-Start helps parents build confidence, form friendships, and feel less alone. Sometimes what families need most is simply someone who listens, encourages them, and reminds them that they’re doing a great job.

Being part of this work has shown me just how powerful community support can be. Families come to us feeling overwhelmed and leave feeling stronger, more connected, and more hopeful.

That’s why I’m raising money — to help ensure that Home-Start Falkirk can continue supporting local families who need it most.
