Story
Race day has been and gone and I finished the Richmond Half Marathon in a time of 2 hours, 4 minutes and 52 seconds. Which was fairly pleasing. I also managed to get to Fulham to see Sunderland lose, which wasn't so pleasing. There is still time to donate, so please do. My time can be seen on the official event page here: http://www.sportsystems.co.uk/ss/results/athlete/?entId=WISEM-CTQGM-NICSP
One interesting development is that the Premier League, in its wisdom, has chosen to move the date when my beloved Sunderland plays Fulham to the afternoon of this race--and a 2pm kick off at that. So it will be an interesting logistical exercise getting to Craven Cottage for the match.
Hot on the heels of the fabulous £814.00 raised when I struggled round the Cabbage Patch 10 mile run in October, we've managed to cobble together a rag-tag group of St James's parents to run the Richmond Half-Marathon on 6th May.
Each donation will go towards the cost of a new school hall for the children of this outstandly good Twickenham Catholic school.
