Story
Some of you may know that my colleague Ross's wife, Gabby, tragically passed away suddenly at the end of February, aged 37, leaving Ross and his two young sons. Gabby was a wonderful person who was always thinking of others. One of the charities she was involved with was Toy Box, an organisation that seeks to change the lives of street children living in Central and Southern America. The charity's mission is to end the injustice of children living and working on the streets. I would like to raise funds in Gabby's memory for this worthy cause.
I have been training hard through the cold winter nights and despite a few aches and pains and the odd cold that I have struggled to shift, I think (well perhaps hope is a better description!) I am ready to go. I have even taken the running shoes with me on recent trips to the Alps (it is hard work running up a hill for half an hour) and Budapest (much more pleasant running along the Danube!).
