Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon again in 2019 to support the work that the Royal Voluntary Service does locally and nationally. I am hoping to get lots of donations from organisations and by writing out to firms. But in case this fails any money donated will be much appreciated, and will be put to good use.

The training was very hard for the London Marathon in 2018, through the winter months, the wind, rain, ice and snow. The hottest London Marathon was an experience I will never forget. I am lucky to be able to try and run it again. So here is to a long few months ahead.

Primarily the work Royal Voluntary Service do is to support people, including older people to help prevent loneliness and isolation. The services take people to and from hospital, run lunch and social clubs and reconnect people into the community they live. There is also much work done in hospitals up and down the country, to support people who may not have many friends and family visiting them. Our volunteers support people to stay connected - and make sure that they have friendly face to help them when they need it the most.
