Hello all,

On Sunday 21^st October I will be taking part in the 10 mile Great South Run around Portsmouth.

Those with a good memory and who knew me then may remember that I also did this a couple of years ago to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

After the event, although I kept on running regularly, I vowed never to
run 10 miles again as it is just too hard for an oldie like me.

However, time dims the memory (of pain and total exhaustion) and sadly the devastating illness of Alzheimer’s continues to affect more and more people with no cure currently in sight.

So I'm doing it again and like last time hoping to raise as much as can to support the work of the Alzheimer's Society in helping the sufferers and their carers and to fund research into combating the diseases
