Thank you for visiting our alternative wedding list site!!  We would love to celebrate our wedding by supporting others who are less fortunate than us at this time

It was (Laura’s) Dad who came up with the suggestion that we should set up a gift list to support the outward facing work of Oasis church.  In the last few years, our church  has already started sending small teams to countries such as Ukraine, Denmark and Nigeria to help with projects such as youth conferences, helping those who are  homeless and sick, visiting and helping widows and orphans, setting up a computer suite for basic IT training.

Future plans include projects both at home and abroad. Abroad, potential projects include setting up eye clinics in remote villages in 3rd world countries & providing clean drinking water in remote communities by digging boreholes. At home, they include establishing up a day care centre for elderly people in our local community and a local soup kitchen.

All of these activities will need funding and we would love to support this work through our marriage.  Any gift donated as part of our wedding would solely be used to support Oasis’s increasing outreach to the poor. All monies will go directly to the projects.  Some examples of how your gift may be used:

- £30 – can buy rice to feed a family of 5 for up to 2 months
- £50 – can help a widow start a small trade such as buying and selling fruits and local groceries
- £50 – can buy a sewing machine to help kick start a tailoring trade – some are trained but cannot afford the equipment
- £100 – a refurbished computer for a computer suite in Africa

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support this work in celebration of our wedding :  Oasis Church will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
