At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

*UPDATE*

I completed the Dunfermline Half Marathon in 1 hour 44 mins and 57 seconds on the 11th May. I'm delighted at the time. If I thought the Edinburgh course was tough, I was re-educated about hills on this one. The only flat bit was the start line!

I ran and completed the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run in 47 mins and 53 secs. I'm happy with that time over such a tough course.

*************

This site won't let me tell you exactly what this event is but here are the details.

I've invented the Scottish Captials Challenge which is two races in one week and I've combined them into one fundraising event for HBOS £Million Challenge for CLIC Sargent. I'll be running the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run, which is 10K metres, on the 4th May and then the Dunfermline Half Marathon the following Sunday. Obviously, Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland but people may not be aware that Dunfermline is the ancient capital so that is why I've called this the "Scottish Capitals Challenge".

You may be aware that this year has not exactly been a good one so far in terms of my health so this is a genuine challenge for me and, of course, I'm looking to achieve good times in each race.

So you know, my employer will match up to £500.00 so please dig deep and help support this worthwhile charity.

Many thanks,

Nigel
